I met Maran when we were both seniors in high school in Columbus, Georgia. It's funny how friendships work. While in college, over Thanksgiving break, Maran invited me to spend the holiday with her and her family in Virginia Beach. The trip from UGA to Virginia Beach was where our friendship became cemented. Maran is one of the most loving, loyal and intelligent people I know. She would stop whatever she is doing to make time for her friends. She is just amazing.
Naturally, when she asked me to photograph her wedding I simply could not say yes fast enough. The day was kind of a reunion of high school friends who have dispersed across the United States. It was great to see many friends successful while pursuing their passions.
Maran and Kevin got married on a mild summer day at Jule Collins Museum of Fine Art in Auburn, Alabama. The day was perfect for a wedding.
